The Humane Society of Cozumel
The Humane Society of Cozumel Island was founded in 1993 by Karla Porter, from Pennsylvania.
Soon after she moved to Cozumel, Karla was shocked when she realized that the City had no humane means of population control for stray cats and dogs
The Society focusses efforts towards promoting a humane population control program, by means of a permanent free spay/neuter campaign, an adoption program and humane euthanasia when needed. |

Visit the Humane Society's website for more information.
Phone (from the U.S.): 011-52-987-800-1897 or (within Mexico) 987-800-1897.

The Society operates non-stop, and has received over 6500 animals, found homes for more than 1000, spayed/neutered close to 5000, and also humanely put down a number that is always greater than they would hope for. |
